What are you doing in your Christmas break?

I can’t wait for the break because I know it will be fun. The first week, I am going to do scrapbooking, ski and hang out with my friends. I am so excited to see my friends who are studying in another city. The 24 and 25 of December I will have party with all my family. We are going to play some games and eat delicious meals for sure!

After Christmas, I am going to Baie James with my brother, father and boyfriend to celebrate the New Year.

The 2 of January I am going to go back to Val-d’Or and take it relax before the second semester starts.

Soccer

Practicing a sport is a good way to be in shape, have fun and make friends. Many kind of sport exist, but I prefer team sports. This year I am playing soccer in the Panthers team. We are playing every week in the city league of North Bay. Also, we are going to have two tournaments in January. We will have to practice harder because our opponents will probably be strong. I have some difficulties with my shot, but I am getting better every day.  Besides, I am very happy to play soccer because I have become friend with my teammates. Every practice I have a lot of fun with them. I can’t wait for our tournaments, I am sure we will have a lot of fun even if we don’t win.

Poutchinette

When you were a kid, have you ever wanted a pet? When I was 10, I really wanted a dog, but not my parents. So, they bought me a guinea pig. I named her Poutchinette. She was like my baby; I built her many houses and playgrounds.

A year later, I have babysat the guinea pig of my class. He was a male so; Poutchinette and he had 2 babies together: Caramel and Noisette. After that, Poutchinette had a lot more babies. I had a lot of guinea pigs in my life, but Poutchinette was the first and the last that I had. She had lived for a little more than 8 years which is very old for a guinea pig.

She was beige, white and black. She was so beautiful. Also, she won a picture contest in 2006. I think guinea pigs are good pets for kids.

My Last Job

When you were a kid, have you ever gone to a summer camp? Last summer I worked as a camp counselor and it was an amazing experience for me.

The first reason why it was an amazing experience is because I had to challenge myself every day. I had to be cheery a day even if I felt bad. Also, I needed a lot of organisation because we had to follow carefully the schedule. Furthermore, I had to be creative. For example, I had to wear costumes very often. I had to do many skits too to keep the children engaged.

The second reason why it was an extraordinary experience for me is because I met wonderful people. I met a lot of kids. They were in majority very cute, funny and had good values. I also met their parents; they were very understanding. In addition I met a lot of camp counselor like me. I had the chance to make a lot of friends in this job.

The last reason was this experience was amazing is because I had the salary of the heart. Even if I had a low salary, I get paid by love. Every morning, the children were happy to see me; I was like a hero for them. They always wanted to do like me. I had a lot of fun with the kids last summer.

In conclusion, working as a camp counselor was an extraordinary experience for me because I challenged myself, I met people that I won’t forget and I get paid by love. Last summer I realized that nothing is better than be paid to do something that you like to do.

Ten life lessons

1. A smile is one of the few contagious things that you should spread. So spread it to everyone!

Every day I try to smile the more as possible. It is prove that smiling to someone can make him happier and make your day more beautiful in the same time.

2. We regret more about the things we didn't do than the things we did do. Get out of yourself and just do it.

When I really want something, I try everything to get it. I don’t want to live with regrets, so a prefer trying than do nothing.

3. The best feeling in the world is getting paid to do what you love to do.

I want to have a job that fit with who I am. I want to be paid for doing something that I love. Also, I think that it is important to love our job because we are going to do it during a big part of our life.

4. Always put yourself in the other's shoes, if it hurts you, it probably hurts the other too.

I always try to be nice with people because often I don’t know their real situation. Also, I don’t do or say things that can hurt me to others because there is a lot of chance that it will hurt them too.

5. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.

When I am sad because I can afford something, I remember me all the other things that I have. For example, I have a family and a boyfriend who love me, good friends and a good health.

6. A winner must first know what losing is like. Without failure, there is no success.

In my basketball games, I always wanted to win, but sometimes it’s okay to lose because without losing, winning won’t be that wonderful. We appreciate it more, when it does not happen so often.

7. In everything that you do always give your 100% as if there's no tomorrow.

I try to live each day like if it was my last. I think it is important to give our maximum in all that we do because we do not know what can happen the next day.

8. You cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

According to me, if you want to have a good relationship, you have to let the other person loving you the way you are. Do not try to be someone that you are not. Be yourself and I’m sure that someone in this big world will love you.

9. Bad things do happen to good people.

Each time bad things happen to me, I ask myself « Why it is happen to me? I do not deserve it! » The reality is that almost of the time, there is no reason. Bad things happen to good people too.

10. Cherish those that you love, you never know if you’ll see them again.

I say «I love you» to people who I love the most often as I can because I do not know when will be my last moment with them. Life is fragile and everyone needs to be loved and know it.

Qualities of La Senza

La Senza is one of the stores in Val-d’Or where I spend a lot of money. Almost all of my underwear is from there. Also, a lot of teenage girl buy their underwear and pajamas there. According to me, this store is perfect. The service is excellent, there is a happy ambience and the quality of the products is pretty good. That is why I shop there.

When you enter in the store, the staff gives you a warm welcome and is ready to help you in your shopping process. Also, you can see that they wear beautiful pajamas from the store. Even though the store is well organized, the staff helps you with a genuine smile to find what you want and the size that you need. Furthermore, the staff sometimes gives you sweet compliments about what you chose, so you don’t regret your choice.

Also, I am absolutely sure that you will love the goods of La Senza. The pajamas and underwear make a good first impression with their beautiful colors and designs. For sure, they don’t just make a good first impression; you will fall in love with their soft materials. All clothes from there are extremely comfortable. In addition, if you take care of them, they will last a long time. Furthermore, you will be happy to see new designs each month. The designs change by the season or period of the year. For example, in December you can find many products with cute Christmas designs. So, there is no reason that can make you do not like the wonderful products of La Senza.

On the other hand, if you are like me and you really appreciate to shop in a happy ambiance, you will love La Senza. Of course, you can hear some lovely songs. Because La Senza is a popular store, you can easily hear people having happy conversations. You will not feel alone in the store, so you can enjoy your shopping even if you are not with friends. When you enter in the store, you will immediately smell the fresh vanilla aroma and see the beautiful and colourful decorations. This store is awesome and the ambiance there is perfect for shopping.

          In conclusion, I can say that La Senza is a wonderful store. The staff is welcoming and helpful, the quality of the products is very good and there is a happy ambiance. If you are looking for good pajamas or underwear, don’t hesitate and go to La Senza. I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

Have you ever been in love? I have been in love for 2 years with Vincent Fortin. This relation is the best thing I have ever had. According to me, love can be beautiful if you love the other for his qualities and defaults. My boyfriend is a smiling, generous, funny, adorable guy and he enjoys life. Also, he makes me smile every day. On the other hand, we both like sports and almost the same activities. He is a basketball player like me. Actually, I met him in a basketball camp.

This year, I live far away from him, but it does not matter because our love is getting stronger. I am so in love and I thank Life to make me met him.

What My Bedroom Looks Like

Do you like your bedroom? For me, I like my bedroom because there are a lot of colorful decorations. When you come into my bedroom, you can see, in front of you, my bed. On the blanket there are many pink, blue, and green flowers. Also, there are stickers on the window. At your left you can see Alexe  written with pictures, so that makes the wall more colorful. Also, there are many drawings that my boyfriend and I made. Furthermore, you can see a lot of frames with pictures at your left. Another thing that makes my room colorful is my poster of princesses. As well, my frog and his aquarium are a beautiful decoration. Finally, if you look beside the door, you will see my closet without doors and a rainbow of clothes. To conclude, my room is full of colors and that makes me happy.

Pompom

Do you remember that in my last article I mentionned that I really wanted to have a dog ? Now , I have one ; Pompom. He is only 2 months, so he is a puppie.Like you can see on the picture, he is white. He is also very soft.Such a beautiful puppie !!!


I love my dog very much, he is like my baby. I like to play with him because he is always full of beans. The only negative it is that he is not already clean; sometimes I found his poops in the house ....

I hope I can be at home to take care of him.

My name is Alexandra, just call me Alexe. I am 17 years old and I will be 18 years old on 28th of October.Also, I have a little brother, Maxime.An other point, I really love pets.For example, I have a little frog, Queen and I want to have a dog. Furthermore, I like princesses and my favorite Disney princesses are Aurore and Raiponce.

I'm at Canadore to learn English. After, I would like to travel around the world.Especially, I dream about visiting Neuschwanstein castle.

I love sports, more specifically basketball and soccer. I have played those sports since I was a child.So, I will try to join the soccer Panthers team.
